Buddhism I have studied and practiced within the tradition of Tibetan Buddhism for over 30 years, guided in my practice by my heart teacher Lama Tharchin Rinpoche. I have sponsored visiting teachers where ever I have lived. It is a great joy for me to create circumstances where people come together to learn, grow, serve each other and celebrate! Hale O Ka Pu'uwai , is a temple built on my property dedicated to the traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, the healing arts and sacred creativity. On recommendation of Lama Tharchin this was accomplished through the aspirations and efforts of family and community. For the last 15 years many precious teachers and teachings, retreats and events have been held at the temple. Weekly Vipassana Mediations, yoga classes, Non violent Communication groups, Lomi Lomi and Ayurveda, Yearly Tara retreats and every month the 21 praises of Tara Mandala dance. As well as sacred concerts and gatherings. It has been my honor and pleasure to be the steward of this beautiful sacred space. As All Things Change, I am now in the process of selling this property, I have faith that the good and virtuous activity that has taken place here over the years with remain forever an offering gathering merit, healing the environment and each on and the other. I will be creating a new living space in community with my Kauai family Fern and Michael Merle-Jones and there just a few miles down the road, still in Kilauea I will be building again a temple as an offering and in service of my spiritual communities the keep my spirit alive. Sacred Dance
I have participated in the Tara Mandala with Prema Dasara since 1989
when Prema began to share it beyond its birth place, the Island of Maui.
In 1999 I participated in the first teacher training held on Kauai.
Since then I have achieved an advanced level of participation in the
teacher program and been given full permission to lead retreats and
workshops. I have lead a Tara Mandala circle on Kauai, meeting every
month, Participated in the 2001 Pilgrimage for Peace in India and Nepal
as a Mandala leader, and have offered the dance in many different community
settings, classes and celebrations. I am now residing In the beautiful
Redwood Mountains of Santa Cruz at Pema Osel Ling, taking some time to
focus on healing and family. I am participating in the practices and
community at POL, my mother dharma center, living at the center and
working for the Foundation to share the Mandala on “the mainland” . It
is an honor to participate in the
vision of Taradhatu, Hula is life, Hula saved my life at a time when I desperately needed to connect with my beauty and grace from the inside out. This wonderful tradition continues to be central in my well being and even as I am now living for a few years at Pema Osel Ling, the center Lama Tharchin established in 1992, I take every opportunity I can to make an offering of the dance. I practice on my own and perhaps a local group will draw me in while I am here. Otherwise, first thing I do on arriving on Kauai and after visiting my grandchildren, is gather with my Halau to DANCE. _________________ Lomi Lomi-The Art of Sacred Hawaiian Massage

in the healing arts for over 20 years. Licensed in Hawaii for 19 years,
I have worked in clinics, spas and I have a fulfilling private practice.
In Addition to Lomi Lomi, I am trained the in deep wonderful therapies of Ayurveda. By

. Trained in the art of Lomi Lomi by
Susan Pa'iniu Floyd , I
co-founded, on Kauai, ‘Lomi Lomi Lokahi’, a practice of Sacred Hawaiian
Massage and ‘Lomi Lomi Pu’uwai’ trainings with my dear friend and mentor
Fern Merle-Jones. Woven
into my Lomi sessions and the trainings are my deep appreciations and
experience of the wisdom and compassion practices of the Hawaiian
culture, Buddhism & my many
teachers. ‘I am honored to share with you what is most precious to me’
